Lick Skillet Scramble – Cycling Tour

Experience the backroads of East Tennessee during the 5th Annual Lick Skillet Scramble, a scenic fall cycling tour and farm celebration in New Market!

Hosted by Lick Skillet Farm, the Scramble invites cyclists of all experience levels to explore the beautiful countryside of Jefferson County with 12-, 25-, 40-, metric century, and 75-mile routes. The family-friendly 12-mile route offers a flatter, easier ride with additional support, while longer routes provide plenty of rolling terrain and challenges for experienced cyclists.

All routes are fully supported with clear course markings, well-stocked rest stops, and SAG support. The longer rides begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the 12-mile ride at 10:05 AM. Parking, rider check-in, and the ride start are located at New Market Elementary School, with check-in and late registration beginning at 8:30 AM.

But the ride is only part of the fun! After crossing the finish, head over to nearby Lick Skillet Farm, a historic Tennessee Century Farm, for an end-of-season celebration featuring lunch, live music by Radio On, a Cruze Farm self-serve ice cream bar, and more.

Best of all, the Lick Skillet Scramble gives back to the community, with event proceeds benefiting New Market Elementary School.
